How can you open a spreadsheet in Calc without Edit Mode being turned on by default? Users can’t click radio buttons or check boxes it this is enabled.
Turn off the Form Control Design Mode; enable menu View → Toolbars → Form Controls, then from the toolbar select the icon with a hand pointing to an OK button (Design Mode) and click to disable.
