Is Pivot Point working in Impress

I want to place an image and change it’s pivot point and then use a spin animation to rotate my image on it’s new pivot point position.

I use right click on the image then “Position and size” , “Rotation” tab, Pivot point section. I change it to top, but the next time I open the “Rotation” tab of the same image pivot point position is not saved !

Is that normal ?

Rotation of the image and spin animation are different, independent operations. LibreOffice has not implemented an animation with setting the center point, but rotates always around the center of the object. You can fake the desired behavior by setting a negative top and left crop value, so that the center of the resulting object is the top-left corner of the image.

Thanks for the answer. I think I found a solution. In Impress you can crop only images. But I don’t see where you can set

a negative top and left crop value

The solution was to extend the image height with crop functionality, Adding a blank space from top fixed the rotation

Sorry I cannot vote your answer

You have a numeric control of scale and cropping in the “Crop Dialog”. You get it via menu Format > Image > Crop Dialog.

Hi, I didn’t saw that option. However using the another option sets negative values also. Thanks
