Calc: Solaredge Panels Excel worksheet

I want to keep a record of the Kw output of my solar panels, but Solaredge only uses Excel.
The character set is Western Europe (ISO-8859-15/EURO)

If I click on the WATTS column, it highlights it all, even the title, but I can’t copy it to transfer it to Calc

I don’t know how to copy the screen onto this page to show what I see.

Seams to me like a question for Solaredge developers or support forum.

  1. What do you mean under uses Excel?

  2. Excel files, both XLS and XLSX (except for prehistorical Excel 6.0/95) are Unicode-based.

No need to copy/paste. Just save Excel format.

OK, let’s start over. What output does Solaredge produces? Excel native xls or plain text file? Do you have hard time importing what Solaredge produces into LibreOffice? From what I see in image you posted, you’re importing text file (called CSV) into LibreOffice. That should work flawlessly. When you say copy in original question, do you actually mean import? So [1] does Solaredge produces CSV and [2] are you trying to import it? What do you actually do when “copying” it to LO?

Maybe you can append here a sample of file Solaredge produces so we can play around with it. Just make sure such file doesn’t contain any personal information or data as files here are publicly available and can’t be removed. What I’m saying is: if Solaredge is saving output in (any kind of) file you can open that in LibreOffice. How I initially understood your question is that Solaredge opens Excel directly and you don’t have it installed anymore. If that’s not the case, you’re good.

The picture from your import attempt looks to give a sensible import.

If it doesn’t, what do you get when you click OK? If you get anything at all imported, edit your question to attach that as a sample file.

Rather than posting an Answer item, use add a commentor edit your question.

Solaredge used to be able to display in Excel. Now that I’ve changed to Libre Calc, I can’t copy & paste this information.

PaulaO I don’t understand your answer.

I have attempted copy & paste of the info from Solaredge

Do not answer your own answer (unless, of course, it is a real answer found somewhere else). Use comments or modify the original question. And it is still not clear what’s the problem. You say: ‘Solaredge used to be able to display in Excel’. Is it an Excel add-on (you must have told it clearly in the original post)? Then no sense asking here as MS Office addons are not supported by LO.

I don’t understand why are you facing this problem, because it’s not difficult to work on this or make a copy of it anyone can easily copy it and past it in calc but I can help you to make it easier for you as you can get all the details and get solution of your problem by reviewing by content that consists of complete details about solar panel and {Spam Deleted}
