Insert images with frame style applied [closed]

Does this work or perhaps I do not understand the concept behind it. I want to apply a frame style when inserting an image.

Insert -> Image -> Pick an image and select Style Labels

After doing so the Frame Style for the image reverts to Graphics.

Applying a frame style does not work in any version, even not in OpenOffice.

Any advice for me?

TIA

That is a known problem, see https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/s... and duplicate. You need to first insert the image and then apply the style, if you use the file picker of Windows.

It works with LibreOffice's own file picker. In LO5.4 you can switch to it in Tools > Options > LibreOffice > General, part Open/Save Dialogs. In LO6.0 this setting is removed from the UI, but you can set it via Tools > Options > LibreOffice > Advanced > Open Expert Configuration, search for UseSystemFileDialog.
