I am running kubuntu 18-04 After a recent update, or possibly configuration change, I am no longer able to see any icons or words apart from the title bar. It goes to a file recovery window first, then to the main application when I close the file recovery window. I have completely removed, including configuration files, all packages with "Libreoffice" in the name, and then reinstalled all of libreoffice. No change. I have gone into system settings and disabled "Enable compositor on startup", and rebooted. No change. I suspect it is a graphics problem, but I cannot see anything in Libreoffice so I am unable to change it back.

Any clues ?

I found the answer. Completely remove, including configuration files, all packages with "Libreoffice" in the name. Manually delete the following folder; /home/andrew/.config/libreoffice Reinstall everything and it now works again.
