Installer require more space than selected in options

Have tried to install win msi package for LibreOffice 4.0. Have disabled most options as i need only writer and get about 60 meg of required space in installer. But when i press ‘next’ it require 680 meg of free space. Why it says 60 meg when choosing options and 680 when press ‘next’? Is that a bug?

Anyway why the hell it need so much drive space? M$ office 2003 get 220 meg on my drive with samples etc. Can you add option to choose minimal installation without all that exceeding extra things?

Portable version is much better but there is no option to choose which apps to extract so it install the whole thing :\

The full installation of LibreOffice 4.0.3 uses 355MB of hard drive space on Win7, so it doesn’t need 680MB. That may be the space available that is required during installation to extract all the files, etc., but it does not use that much in the end. There is no option to just install one component of LibreOffice. The way it’s designed, selecting only one or two components instead of the whole suite would only reduce the required hard drive space by a small amount. It’s the same with the portable version.

@Mikhail - My installation of LibO 3.6.6. takes 378 MB on XP. However, I have all components and 4 languages installed.

When you say MSO 2003 takes on 220 MB it would be interested if you have the same components installed. Please be aware that the MSO is available in smaller and larger packages; make sure you compare apples with apples.
