What do I do about lost password for document

I locked a document with a password but cannot recall what that password is

Passwords are to protect documents. They do that rather efficiently. It will protect the document from anyone who doesn’t know the password. Including you. So - please try remembering the password.

you cannot open your LibreOffice file without password. remember your password
