problem autoformatting an even row table

I try to autoformat a table with Alt-blue.

if the table has an odd number of rows the result is the one expected, while if the number of rows is even the last two rows have the same background.

Where am I wrong?

EDIT:

@JohnSUN I tried to create a table of 5 lines and apply the alt-blue formatting. Then I selected the last line and pressed Ctrl+M to remove the formatting. The result is this:

Neither the last line disappears (as I would like it to do), nor it assumes the formatting that I expect. Am I still wrong with something?

The last row in the table is formatted as a totals row. In your case, it has the same design as even lines. If you do not need a totals row, before selecting AutoFormat, select one more row, and then delete the last row (or clear its formatting Ctrl+M)

Update I hope that this will be more clear (YouTube version here)

could you give me more details? I tried to remove the last line formatting and do the things you said but didn’t get the desired results.
I need a table with a header row and three data rows, the last row should not be considered particular (such as sum)

In this case, select five lines - the title bar, three rows of data and an empty row below the data. Apply the format. Select the fifth line (below the third row of data) and press Ctrl + M

@JohnSUN I edited the post. How do I create a copy of the table styles that I can edit?

Create very small table 4 rows * 4 columns and format it as First (title) column, even and odd columns and total columns, and same (title-even-odd-total) rows - each cell in this table is a sample of format for part of your style. Select it, go to menu Format - AutoFormat and click Add (If you leave last (fourth) row in this “sample table” without any formats then in future you no need clear “totals row” )

I apologize, I can not understand what you say. I think I have done what you suggest but I have not yet achieved the desired result. The last row continues to be formatted as “special”. I, however, want it to be seen as the other rows of data.
I want to be able to apply the style either to tables with odd or even row number without problems on the last row. And I don’t want to have to do all the tables with odd number of rows just to make the formatting of the last populated row work

@JohnSUN: please note “writer” is in tags.

OMG! All this time I answered the wrong question! Of course, in this case, cleaning the formatting does not help, we need to delete the auxiliary line. It’s nice that the table style, prepared in Calc, is also available in Writer. Thank you, @mikekaganski , for pointing out my mistake
