Hi, I am classifying my photos. The list is very long: places, birthdays, sunsets, and a long etc. I would like to create a drop down list with hyperlinks such that whenever I choose an item it takes me to the row that contains detailed information. Is it possible? Thanks 
You can create a dropdown list in a cell (I assume you want do that in Calc) by using menu Data > Validity. Choose “Cell range” in Allow dropdown list in the Criteria tab.
Other points in your question depends on your creativity
Edit: hyperlinks work better in Calc if you use the HYPERLINK function.
Not working. I’m using this: $nameOfSheet.$b$4:$b$200 in Data → Validity —> Cell Range
