Whenever I try to insert a column in already made table from a save document (.docx) the Writer closes. Is this a bug that would be fix? Does anybody knows any workaround?
I found a workaround… Saved the document as odt close it and then re-open it do the insertion and then save it back again as .docx.
I realise you have found a workaround, which is good. Did the table have merged cells? It could be you were experiencing bug FDO#42668. There is an example file with that bug that produces a crash.
@Aninay - I am glad you found a workaroung.
I work in general in LibO native formats and save only in another one when I really need it. Maybe you can adopt the same approach in general to avoid problems which can occur when not using LibO native format.
