This is just to let someone know that the solution for the .dll exception issue (installation on updates) didn’t work.
The update history on my netbook shows the appropriate updates installed. I restarted my notebook multiple times, until the “Update and Restart” message stopped showing up, and I thought, FINALLY it started. But no, it just gave me that revolving circle for umpteen minutes and nothing happened.
I just gave up and went back to using OpenOffice.org.
I did read the bug thread where all the different possible reasons for this error are discussed but it didn’t help me at all.
Just saying. It’s disappointing.
