Is there an Excel shortcut key mode or config file for Calc?

I’ve been trying LibreOffice out for the heck of it on a Windows computer. On Linux I do use LibreOffice Writer regularly but not on a Windows computer since my Windows computers can all run Office.

I like LibreOffice but what is frustrating is the inability to use shortcuts that I have been using for decades.

I’ve been hunting on the web and see no simple solution to the problem of a bulk reprogramming of short cuts to Excel. For example, GIMP offers a PhotoShop compatibility mode and Word and WordPerfect often offer (and, perhaps still do) the ability to choose a whole different set of shortcuts.

I’ve run into a few discouraging threads where people asked a similar question only to seemingly run into a brick wall.

Am I missing something? Is there a simple preference? Is there a simple config file that can be replaced? I have absolutely no desire to go in and reprogram every single shortcut

You can load a config file. For example, in Calc go to Tools > Customize > Keyboard tab > Load button
It seems that LO want a kind of ZIP file containing an xml text file. To understand this file, try first to export the keyboard configuration (Save button) and play with this saved file.

+1 if I could vote  Thanks. I’m now hunting for a .cfg file but have yet to turn something up (you’d think someone would’ve done it before :). I did find this discussion: https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=98255. Hopefully someone will make progress on that front some day. Seems like such a shame that such an easily addressed barrier to Excel switchers still exists (who likely comprise 95% of the world’s spread sheet users and 94% of power users). Oh well. C’est la vie.
