Have tried both deleting and designating thru icons at top of screen as well as via various links entitled Print, Print Preview, etc. When began the print area came up one column short of what I need. The right side margin showed plenty of room left on the paper but also unable to reset the margin. Since fumbling around trying to get what I want the 13 columns that I had are now squeezed to less than half of the paper. I am a 75 year old male engineer that has been able to do this easily with Excel.

Thank you in advance for helping me.

If you want to fit your data on a sheet of paper (at least that's what I understood) then in the Print Preview click the Format Page icon (or menu Format -> Page...) and in the dialog go to the Sheet tab, under Scale select one of the "Fit print range(s) ..." option and then enter the number of pages. Also check that if you defined print ranges under Format -> Print Ranges... these ranges are actually what you want to print, and either adjust or clear or reset.

Whether the settings have succeeded, check with the print preview, without wasting paper.
