Using columns-libreWrite

I’ve created a doc with 2 columns. When I type text into the document, and fill the column, the remaining text goes to a second page, and NOT the 2nd column on the first page. I made sure the “evenly distribute content to all columns” was selected.

Any help would be appreciated.

There is still some information missing. Do you use a table or columns? You can not really imagine what you mean. Can you please make a screenshot of the file and upload it here. Or even better, upload the writer’s file anonymously. Thank you.
