Libre Writer math/sphere grid guides/rulers?

I am trying to align text in libreoffice writer. I am using the indent key and the space key to align text above and beneath other text. However, I can't really tell if the text is aligned. It always looks a bit skewed. I would like the text to be on a straight vertical line. So I am wondering if there is an option that shows grids/rulers on the entire sheet, like math sphere sheets or math grid sheets that won't be printed though.
