I totally support @Hrbrgr closing this bizzare question. Just wanted to provide a quick analisys why is it a good decision, to help OP to avoid this problem next time.
Every part of this multi-part “question”, as well as the title of it, talk about nothing specific, only some statements without background. “I come across many people” where (link)? “Cannot open large file” which (a sample)? “Crashes” when (steps to reproduce)? “Cannot view OLE” which?
I can create files of hundred megs that open fine - are they large enough? I can show you another suite crashing - does that prove anything?
Wrt “does not do like another office suite does, because I only can solve my tasks a single way that I have learned, and can’t imagine there are alternative ways” - well, of course, some tools might be a useful addition, but what makes a suite “unusable” in that case is single learned way.
Then comes the “main” question from the title, and there’s not enough context given to even guess if that is a rhetorical question based on what others say, or if you have come across a real problem, which is what should have been discussed in the first place. So - well, nothing to explain here, actually.
@mikekaganski thank you for your assessment. The questioner lives from the opinions of others. Whether he would like to make own experiences?
I don’t mind if people find LibreOffice unusable. It’s simply nothing to discuss there in that case. Simply don’t use it. The only time it’s a useful discussion is when one tries to be constructive, which means taking one problem at a time, helping to see it and reproduce, and that way to improve.

The Questioner is not living on opinion of others, I am also facing the same issue.
I am sharing my experience.
I am using Windows 7 OS in my system with Libre Office.
User ihas send me a file created in Word 2003.and recently we shifted from MSO to LO.
When I tried opening the file for Proof reading, it’s not opening.
Thank God for his Grace upon you, for you are not facing this issue.
We are looking for suitable help or any settings to be done.
Any idea why this happen
It looks like you have a specific problem with a Word file. Please reissue your question about this problem and describe it exactly.
