If I do a select all and copy in LO Draw and paste directly in LO Writer, the units and numbers change. Image 1 below is the original image from LO Draw. I have created a scale drawing (1:30) of a room layout. image description

Image 2 below is the pasted image in LO Writer. image description

If I try to paste as a bitmap, LO crashes.

Try pasting as GDI Metafile.

When I try to paste as GDI Metafile, it shows up as a ridiculously small image. Could this be due to the scaling factor being used on draw? Sure wish plain old bit map worked. I have had to resort to Alt-PrtScn screen captures.

I think the issue is due to the scaling on the original drawing. I am using a drawing scale of 1:30 on LO Draw. When objects from LO Draw paste onto LO Writer, it shrinks to fit a 1:1 scale. I wish it would retain a WYSIWYG screen image.

Can you upload your * .odg file from Draw here?

Can it be due to the separate settings for Draw and Writer?

Menu in Draw

Tools>Options>LibreOffice Draw>General Settings

Menu in Writer

Tools>Options>LibreOfice>Writer>General Settings

Measurement unit set to Inch on both options pages.
