All images in my text articles have disappeared. There is no instruction relating to images in the tools bar.

The images are replaced by a box with image icon in corner.

What is the LO version and OS? Please try version 6.1, in which image handling was reworked significantly.

Try check checkbox “Images and Charts” in menu “View”
