Everything about Libreoffice is great. There is one issue however.
When I send an email with a Libre document docx or doc attached it requires the recipient to click yes to have Google docs open it. It is acceptable to me but pointed out by one of my recipients.
Is this me or Libre?
LibreOffice can open and save docx, but docx is not a Libre format, but an MS format. The in-house format of LibreOffice is odt. And Libre certainly is not.
It would be helpful to nail down the exact nature of the question involved and when it appears, also with a screen shot I think.
If you send an email with an attachment created with Libre Writer, the recipient cannot just open it as though it were created with Word. This is even with the writer’s default @ .docx.
I am sorry I cannot provide more proof but you can certainly try it by sending yourself an attachment as I described. I think the world of Libreoffice but just wanted to surface this glitch or peculiarity.
