publisher 2003 table format not resolved bug report 89063 - 2015

Back in 2015 I submitted a bug report 89063 which was, at one time being worked on. The problem appears to be how the Libre Office conversion package handles MS Publisher tables and in particular borders. In the sample file I submitted you will see the borders are used to create a family tree structure around the data contained in the table. It would be nice to see this issue finally resolved as everything else seems to work well when converted from Publisher.

It’s no use writing it here. Add your bug report or write there which problem is still open.

Give details of which versions you use today.

I’m currently using the most up-to-date Libre Office suite and still have MS Office 2003. I have adapted and created new documents in Libre but have hundreds of old Office Publisher documents hence the need to keep Publisher 2003. I have been trying for years to get rid of MS Office due to constant upgrades and ever increasing fees. As you can see from the bug report, nicely linked above, (thanks) I have chased up but no response.

I was asked by the person originally assigned to the conversion problems for Publisher to resubmit the bug report more specifically to cover the table and border format issues, then later notified it was no longer assigned. David Tardon did a lot of the original conversion work as table conversion had never been attempted prior to that. Just trying to get attention to the issue.
