Calc Currency ### Formatting

I have a spreadsheet that I’ve been using for months. In one cell, whenever I put a number in and it’s formatted as currency I get ### as the output. I have no idea why.

I can remove the currency formatting and it works just like any other cell. I can add formulas in and it works perfectly. But when I turn currency back on, immediately it turns into ###.

Does anyone have some insight as to why this is happening and what I can do to correct the issue?

Thank you very much!!!

@mikeKaganski THANK YOU! I could not figure this out and it as extremely frustrating, I don’t understand why the value doesn’t just extend beyond the cell like text does, which would make it clear the cell is too small instead of looking like it’s not calculating. Two years later, you saved my from pulling out what little hair I’ve left.

Thanks to the link Mike provided me with above I have an answer.
"###

none

The cell is not wide enough to display the contents."

All I had to do was increase the width of the cell and it worked perfectly.
