At a wild guess you have defined a character field with insufficient length to contain the value you are trying to insert. If this isn’t the case, please give us more information, including the actual text of the message: type it or take a screenshot and place it on a file sharing site like Mediafire and edit your question to include the link.
No matter what anyone thinks, and although sometimes an educated guess works, without at least some information an answer is fruitless.
Really need info - OS, LO version Database used, what you are doing (query, adding/updating record, etc), the error message (type in if you must or screen shot - need to know the error!), field type, and maybe more.
@robleyd Sorry but the timing was unusual. Had no idea about your post so please don’t take my comment personally. It had nothing to do with your comment. Your “wild guess” is about the best with the info provided.
