I am on Ubuntu 18.04.1 x64 using LO 6.0.6.2. I have a template (.ott) file I created with some constant information and some merge fields on the labels I am trying to create. I have a MySQL query that is registered in the database that is my source. I can select my query and the results appear correctly in the window above the document. I have selected the entire set of rows that the query produced. When I invoke the Mail Merge Wizard, I select Use Current Document, select Letter as type and choose Next and Finish for the next two lines. Nothing happens. This worked before in a previous version of LO (4 or 5, I’m not sure). Where am I going wrong?
Hello, Please clarify - Are you trying to print labels or a form letter? Your question specifies both.
Labels. The statement referring to Letter is because Mail Merge asks whether you are printing a Letter or sending emails. I have always chosen Letter there (I think).
After much searching the Internet, I understand that LibreOffice has change Mail Merge. In fact, the bug appeared on Bugzilla here: https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=102951. Unfortunately, I have tried that scenario as well. It does not work in my situation as described above in which I use a query to derive my result set. Does anyone from LO ever monitor this forum? If not, how do I let them know about this issue?
