I don't use icons. How do I change the toolbar icons to text?

Version 6.1. In Libreoffice calc:
I have been trying this all afternoon, I know Libreoffice is very proud of its new palette of icons but I can READ and don’t generally need so many menu items anyway.

Thanks

Go to menu:

Tools > Customize > Toolbars tab. Click the gear icon to the right of “Target”. Select “Text only”.

Lovely. I knew I was missing something simple, thanks!

I see. It was about toolbars then, not about menu items?
@cooked: It might be a good idea to
-1- edit the topic slightly with this respect. (You may omit the remark about hating icons).
-2- mark the answer as solved by clicking the checkmark (gray background) next to it.
Both steps shold mainly help other user to find valid answers to their problems.
(I also dislike icons. A remark to this effect may occur in the textbody of a question or an answer. The topic should be concise.)

OK. I do remember trying to find out whether it was a context menu, a toolbar or something else, without success.

@Lupp, the question title was “I don’t use icons. How do I change the toolbar icons to text?”

@BigRAI: Sorry. The OP accepted my suggestion and edited the subject. What you are quoting is the new version. The orioginal subject was “I hate icons. How do I change the menu icons to text?”

@Lupp: Apologies for my misunderstanding (and ignorance of the change!).

Never mind!
