Hi. I downloaded LibreOffice 6.0.7 onto my Linx tablet, running Windows 8.1. It indicated that the installation had completed successfully, but when I try to start it, the error message appears: ‘The program can’t start because api-ms-win-crt-string-11-1-0.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.’ I did try, the problem recurred. When I tried the ‘repair’ option, the launcher became unresponsive. I goggled the long phrase in the error message, it directed me to a PC Driver Support program. I installed that, but still no success.
The LibreOffice website suggests the program is easy to install (and, indeed, I’ve installed and used an earlier version before, successfully.) - it doesn’t seem to be easy at the moment. Help please? I’m not an experienced programmer. Many thanks
