Tried to install the latest LO 6.1.3 64 bit to Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit (don’t ask what happen). It starts to install, then stops with a pop up window that says installation was interrupted and to try installing later, giving me the option to cancel the install. Tried this several times. Only MS Office Outlook 2003 is installed for email. And no one pushed any buttons to stop the install. Haven’t tried any other LO product.
Do you have Windows Update disabled in some unusual way? LibreOffice tries to install an update required for its function (UCRT); and it fails if it cannot succeed.
You can try installation with logging:
msiexec /i path\to\libreoffice.msi /l*vx c:\libreofficeinstall.log
and then compress the log to zip and upload to a share, then edit the question to add the link so that I could help you better.
Thank you for the fast reply!!! I did have windows update only to let me know before downloading. Changed it to auto install updates, rebooted, re-download LO 6.x and tried again. It failed at the same spot, but that is ok. I will not install this product and instead install Office 2003 as that is good enough for me. Thank you again. Not sure how to cancel this question for help. If the admins can do it, please do so as I will not be back.
