Whenever I open a word document, as I scroll down, sometimes the document becomes double-wide, with some pages on the right and some on the left. I have to use the horizontal bar at the bottom to move the text into view. Any ideas on how to fix this?

On your Status Bar at the right next to the Zoom slider are three View settings that look like book pages; select the left one of those icons. Hover your mouse pointer over each of the icons to see what they do.
