Print marked cells from 2 pages

I am marking cells from 2 pages. Then go to print and select “print marked cells” however it will only print the cells on the first page even though i am only marking enough cells to cover 60% of a sheet. When i do the same in Open Office there is no problem, the marked cells are printed on a single page. Is this a bug or a feature not implemented.

To clairify, cells are marked to form a uniform block no bigger than 60% of a single sheet. But half the block is on page 1 and the other on page 2.

I don’t know an option print marked cells. Do you mean Selected cells under Range and Copies (tab General) in the print dialogue?
I don’t understabd “from 2 pages”. Do you mean two separately predefined print areas? Are you talking of spreadsheets in Calc?
I don’t know a way to print from 2 different Calc-sheets on one paper-sheet In OpenOffice (AOO 4.1.5 eg).
As far as I know any selection of cells in a sheet is killed as soon as you make another sheet active.

Ii have the swedish version and i just translated it straight off, might be a different word with the same meaning on the english version. This shouldnt be so confusing. I mean when you select print youll get another window where you can select different options, print everything, print pages, print selected cells etc. I have 20 cells on 2 pages half on each. Each page/sheet is divided with a dotted line that tell you how much you can fit on a single paper. Selecting cells thru such a line to another sheet/page/paper is not working, it will only recognize that i selected cells from the first page/sheet/paper.

OK. Now I see you were talking of the cell ranges made up like under > View > Page Break.
Just tested with LibO 6.1.3 and with AOO 4.1.5 and the behaviour was different. LibO applied the page break also if Selected cells was enabled in the print dialogue. AOO ignored it.
There may have been an intended change of behabviour. It can also be seen as a bug.

If I find the time I will look in more detail for related bug reports / requests.
Anyway you can file a bug report to https://bugs.documentfoundation.org .

I would file this as a bug since i dont see any usefulness in not being able to print selected cells just because they are on different sides of a page breaker. Its not relevant if there is a page break when selecting specific cells.for print.

The only idea concerning a possible reason is easing of comparison with a complete or differently selected printout of a previous state e.g. (The pagination issue.)

I would file this as a bug since …

Please do. And please always do, if you feel something needs improvement. Even if it turns out to be wrong, you will simply have your bug closed with some description. If you file a duplicate, your duplicate will be closed with increasing dupe counter of main issue, somewhat increasing its importance/impact. But not filing is a way to not inform developers, and so a sure way to not have it handled at all.
