Fixed time/date is not fixed

Hi. Googling and searching this board has not helped.

When I insert a fixed date or time into my journal style document (Insert > Field > More Fields > Time > Time (fixed)) The inserted time or date changes every time I open the document. Using fixed and non-fixed time or date yields the same results. Is this a bug or is there maybe a system related issue at play for me?

This is on Writer specifically, have not tried this in any of the other apps.

I can confirm using version 6.2.0.1 - but a crucial detail is missing in your question: that is reproducible with DOC format (no problem using native ODT, and even DOCX).

First, it’s always good to mention all relevant info in question. Then, it’s never advised to store the data in foreign formats (yes, they are foreign, and their support will never be perfect). And next, of course, you are welcome to file an appropriate bug report.

Actually, it’s tdf#100961.

Yes, sorry, did not think of that detail. The document is an old document I regularly edit, DOC format left over from my Word/windows days.

For the heck of it I just saved the document in Word 2007-2019 DOCX. Opened it later, the time was indeed fixed but it displayed but 11:18:12 PM displayed as 23:18:12 A12/P12.

Of course saving it in ODT format and it works fine. Thank you for the help and for updating that bug report.
