Is there a way to open exported files from ERP in libreoffice? getting error 'microsoft excel not found'

Hi,

We have focus6 erp installed at our office. We decided to shift all our systems from ms office to libreoffice. But when we try to export files from ERP using ‘export to excel’ feature we receive an error stating-‘microsoft office not found. Install ms excel to perform this operation’. Due to this the file does not get exported and the program force closes. Is there anyway to overcome this issue?

From the error it seems like ERP really needs MS Office to export to Excel formats. Nothing LibreOffice can do here. Depending on your case you might be in vendor lock in. If you are moving away from ERP as well, you can leave one computer to the office which has MS Office as well and use that one for exporting.

Or maybe it is even possible to create “ERP to XLS” website to served by this special office computer, so you go to converter.local, upload your file and it gives you XLS file back. Since I know nothing about ERP, then this may be easy or superhard to solve, maybe with something like AutoHotkey.

Has ERP some other exporting format?

Well, you can try with HTML, you can import it, Meu/Insert/Sheet from file or External Link.
