I am using PureOS, a variant of debian, with gnome as my desktop. The gnome Software wizard reported a new version of LibreOffice available to install yesterday Jan 9 2019. Since the upgrade, Calc has stopped working. I have tried launching from the gnome Software list of installed applications, double-clicking on my spreadsheet as normal, and selecting Launch with LibreOffice Calc from the right-click menu on the spreadsheet file. I don’t get any error messages. Nothing happens. I tried rebooting, and uninstalling and reinstalling Calc, and still nothing. I checked the System Monitor, and I do not see any LibreOffice in the list of running processes. According to the gnome Software manager, I have Calc version 1:6.1.4-3 installed.

Thank you not just for taking time to answer but for the link. I got no errors from running libreoffice --safe-mode, but again nothing happened. I removed and reinstalled all of LibreOffice and now Calc is working again. I have no idea why or what was wrong, but it is fixed.
