How do I activate 'Snap to Object' in Draw?

I wish to build up a compound cross section of a wooden moulding for machining. When finished, this will become a dimensioned object I can incorporate into more complex drawings. To do this I need to be able to snap straight lines together so that their ends anchor to each other. How to I set Libre Office Draw to do this?

Does the advice below give what you want?

I want lines and text to snap to vertical or horizontal grid lines

I want lines to snap to left_vertical or bottom grid lines, also text to left vertical.

Did you inspect > Tools > Options > LibreOffice Draw > View?
There are lots of grid and snap options. In addition the drawing area has a context menu allowing to insert and manage snap guides (point, horizontal/vertical line).
