I have a rather lengthy Writer document with lots of text lines highlighted with pure green (0, 255, 0). I need to replace those lines.
To do that I hit Ctrl-H; click the «Format» button and switch to the «Highlighting» tab. Only to see there is no green colour to select (see screenshot). What is called «green» here is not really green, you can see its RGB code on the left.
Is there any way to bypass this queer restriction?
Which OS and LO-Version do you use?
Yes, of course, I forgot about it.
It is Windows 7 x64 and LO 6.1.3.2.
This is tracked in tdf#105225, and I have just asked there about this specific dialog.
Fixed for 6.3.
@mikekaganski According to the latests posts in tdf#105225 Jim Raykowski commited patch that was supposed to resolve the problem. I’d like to test it, but I don’t exactly understand how to verify the specific daily build does contain the specific patch. Do I use commit number or change ID or number at the end of https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/66578? In which file of the daily build do I look for any of those numbers? Could you please explain?
The daily images are under Index of /daily/master/. You need to pick a MSI with date later than that of the Jim’s commit.
Ctrl + H has a different function for me. Do you mean “highlighted” the font or the background? But anyway, if you want to have everything in black on a white background, just mark all the text or part of the text that you want to change. On the Formatting toolbar, select the “Character Color” and “Highlight Color” icons, respectively.
Click on the small arrow on the icon on the right and select “Automatic”.

Ctrl+H brings Find&Replace (not on all locales), where you may select Format, as shown on OP’s screenshot.
@Hrbrgr In my case Ctrl-H calls the «Find and replace» dialogue.
No, I am afraid you misunderstood me. By «highlighted» I meant, well, highlighting, not the font (foreground) colour or background colour. It is the right button on your screenshot.
I need to replace those lines that highlighted with green with some standard phrase. The problem is I can not make the «Find and replacement» tool to find the green highlighted lines because standard green it is not on the palette (see my screenshot). Were it just a few lines text I would do it manually, but there are several hundreds of them…
The issue was successfully fixed in daily build. See tdf#105225 for details. Many thanks to the developers (@Jim Raykowski specifically) and to @mikekaganski for bringing it up to their attention.
