LibreOffice 6.0 keeps crashing

When I start work on a document the writer crashes. It has happened at least five times this morning.

Which OS do you use?

Unfortunately, your sparse statements can not lead to help you concretely. Download and help for installation instructions can be found on the LibreOffice website. And please read the guidline. And please edit your question or write a comment, don’t write an answer.

Thanks for your response. In reply to your comments, you asked me what OS I use. I did not think I needed to elaborate on Windows 10. I have been using LibreOffice for a while now and have not experience the crash problem before. I don’t think I am going to find the answer to the problem in either the installation instructions or the guideline.

The problem I had, as a stated, was that LibreOffice Writer (sorry, I forgot to mention it was Writer in my initial question) crashed several times. This happened over a period of 10 to 15 minutes. Tha is it. What more information is needed?

Unfortunately, it does not help if you report how many times LibreOffice has crashed. Much more important would be a description in which cases a crash occurs. So the individual steps as you proceed and when exactly LibreOffice crashes. Which boundary conditions arise? Will LibreOffice crash immediately after the call? Will LibreOffice crash if a certain approach is taken? The answers that you hold are primary and predominate from users like you. Do you think you can guess how you are doing and what exactly you are doing. So be a little communicative and describe your approach. The question about the OS was required, because the different OS can behave differently.

Is this a brand new document or a previously-saved one you have opened?

Do you get any error messages from LibreOffice?

Do you get any error messages from Windows?

Have you checked for errors in Event Viewer?

Same problem here. Office Writer sorta freezes consistently after a while. Recently I was using Draw and had the same problem. I am using 6.3.x (not sure what version-probably 6.3.1.x) and am updating to 6.3.3.2 right now and will report back later. I have Windows 10 64 bit. What happens is that Writer (and Draw) work fine while I am actively using them, But when I do something else, like walk away or surf the web for a few minutes, the Writer/Draw screen is sorta unresponsive. I can still do page up & down and view the screen, but when I click anywhere on the screen, it acts like it isn’t there and my click brings up whatever screen is underneath the Office screen. I did install a new video card a few weeks ago so it might be related to that. Other programs like MS Excel, MS Word, Adobe Acrobat, etc. work fine. It’s only Libre Office programs that are unresponsive. I can’t close the program since I can’t click on the screen. I can close the program by right-clicking on the Windows…

…taskbar and selecting Close All. When I restart Writer/Draw, it works fine, for a while, until it sorta freezes again. [I wonder how the translation apps will translate “sorta”
