Hi, maybe there’s already an answer somewhere but I don’t know the term.
I’m using calc, to write some informations about students of mine. I need them to be in alphabetical order (witch i did for the A column) but if I add a new student, is there a way to make sure that everything in column B, C, D will follow (like if it was locked together) or the only way is to cut/paste everytime?

If it is a contiguous area of data then just place the cell cursor somewhere on a data cell in column A and click the Sort Ascending button, the corresponding data area will get automatically selected and the entire area sorted on column A, with all columns kept together per row.

yeah I know that, the thing i want is to lock together every cells in a line. Like If I add data in A (in that case a name) I want everything in B-C-D to follow A automaticaly, like if A1-B1-C1-D1 would become A4-B4-C4-D4 juste with A swiching place. (I hope i’m clear lol)
You mean if you change data in a cell in column A its row automagically gets sorted to a different position? No, that’s not possible (without macros). If that’s not what you wanted then I didn’t understand what you want.
