MS Docx file with images positions are displaced

Hi Team,

I am trying to open a docx file in Libreoffice4.4, the file has images, Those images are corrupted when I open in LibreOffice.

Attached the docx and LibreOffice view image(saved from Libreoffice).

Please provide us the work around to fix this issue. Its very urgent .

And this is what MS Word shows, and I see no differences in images with your screenshot, only placement shift and different Z-order:

Yes, Image are correct, but issue is potision is displaced. Please suggest, if there is any config setting in LibreOffice.

:slight_smile: you suppose that there is a setting telling LibreOffice “now stop fooling me, do the job right!”? This is a bug, and should be filed to bug tracker.

The images are not corrupted. They are fine. They are just misplaced somewhat. Change the anchoring type from as Character to to Page or to Paragraph, move around and rearrange as necessary.

We are trying to convert docx into PDF using --convert-to command in Linux machine. We don’t want to touch the docx file content, since there are thousands of such documents. Do we have any other work around other than modifying the file content?

The best tool for working with an MS Office file is MS Office.
