A lot is going to depend upon just what 'database' you created. This could involve an actual database such as HSQLDB or Firebird or simply some table like files generated based upon text or spreadsheet data.

In either case, you don't need forms to view data. You can do this by double clicking on the table to bring up the data view. Whether you can add data or not depends upon, as mentioned, the database involved.

Forms are helpful for easier entry and manipulation of data. To obtain data, a data source needs to be assigned to the internal form or, when applicable, the sub form.

Since there are many aspects to all this and would require much more space and simply duplicate efforts, it is best for you to review the LO documentation for Base. This can be found on this post -> LibreOffice Base Handbook
