How to stop calc from always asking to save

I’m running LO 5.0.3.2 on Linux Mint 17.3. I have a number of calc files which ALWAYS ask me to save them when I attempt to close them (using X in top right corner of window). I can open the file, then immediately try to close it, and it asks me to save. Investigating further I find that those files open with the “changed flag” (red dot in the lower border) already set to “on” – before I touch the file at all. Is there some way to fix this?

Thanks!

This must be tdf#31231

Mike,
I think you are correct. After seeing your note I went back and looked at the files. Those which include a graph, have the problem; those without a graph, don’t.
I looked at your reference, tdf31231, and from what I can tell, there is no solution and you’re the person working on it (please advise if I misunderstand). Any suggestions? Will a later version fix it? …?
Thanks for your help!

Mike,
Will a later version fix this issue? Any suggestions on how to fix or work around the issue? Thanks!
