I set a default template in Calc where I have just changed the font to Carlito 12pt. When I opened Calc everything seemed to be OK with my new template but when I opened a new sheet I can see that the lines’ size are different. Refer to the screenshots bellow to better understand.
Note that the lines in Sheet2 are much more squeezed. Because of that, Sheet1 has 37 visible lines and Sheet2 has 45.
It’s LibreOffice 6.2.0.3 and MacOS 10.14.3
