Advanced.Expert Configuration: autosave?

Version: 6.1.4.2
Build ID: 1:6.1.4-0ubuntu0.18.10.1

In the Tools.Options.Advanced/Expert Configuration there is an ‘autosave’ option. Is this a document autosave or is it a recovery information autosave?

I was hoping that since we already have a simple configuration for recovery autosave, this would be a document autosave. I set to true all three boolean fields: Autosave, Autosave/Enabled, and UserAutoSaveEnabled.

Restarted LO.

I have a document open to which I have made unsaved changes but the document is not autosaved in the sense I am hoping. I.E. that the changes will be saved to the document…

What should I be expecting from this feature?

As far as I know it only does Recovery Information autosave.

It this is recovery save, why it is included as an advanced option? Autorecovery is standard.

Expert configuration contains every configuration available in the program; some of them are also available in other places of Options dialog and/or elsewhere in the program. Seeing something in the Expert configuration doesn’t imply it’s unavailable otherwise.

@Mike2 Kahanski Now I’m not so sure. What do you think of this https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=65509#c33 , It suggests to me that the autosave in the advanced configuration is a different feature than the autorecovery.

I didn’t say that “this expert config is that dialog config” - I only answered “It this is [somewhere else], why it is included as an advanced option?” part.

@Mike2 Okay. Thanks for the clarification.
