How to print 8.5 x 13 paper

hi
i am trying to print on 8.5" x 13" paper. it is the legal paper size in the philippines. libreoffice calls it ‘long bond.’

i am using libreoffice Version 4.0.2.2 (Build ID: 4c82dcdd6efcd48b1d8bba66bfe1989deee49c3) our printer is an epson me 340.

the doc is sized for 8.5 x 13. the epson has a user defined 8.5 x 13. i have gone into the system printer properties and set it for 8.5 x 13. but the after making the changes and i return to libreoffice print screen it is still 8.5 x 11. the printer cuts off the printing at 11".

i can make the change in other programs and they print fine at 8.5 x 13. just libreoffice has a problem.

any ideas on how to get libreoffice to recogize 13" paper on the print screen, then o print correctly?

I can’t specifically help you because my printer here does not accept the paper size you indicate. This may be related to bugs fdo#51434 or fdo#33245 (possible duplicate fdo#62995). Neither are exactly what you appear to be experiencing but then again the cause may be non-obvious.

The paper size you indicate was introduced via request AOO#91260. It is always possible that a code regression has caused a problem with the handling of this particular paper size. If this is the case (further testing and / or confirmation by others) then you should raise a bug. If you do so, please report the bug number back here in the form “fdo#123456”.

Have you tried exporting to PDF and then printing the PDF as a possible workaround?
