Can you insert multiple page breaks at once? March 2011 portable

If you know your document is going to be at least 100 pages, can you insert 100 page breaks at the same time?

Writer is a content oriented application and that means a new page will automatically be generated as soon as the content overflows the previous one: there is no need to create the pages beforehand.

If you need a page break before of each chapter, you can set up a page break before the particular paragraph style you use for the chapter title. For example, if you use Heading 1 paragraph style to indicate the heading of your chapters, edit it and in the Text Flow tab you’ll be able to set a page break.

The need for some authors is to have a way of reformatting an entire book to a larger or smaller ‘canvas’ i.e. a larger or smaller book page. In Publisher (Microsoft) there is the ability to add as many new pages before hand and then cut and paste the entire work from the former page format to the new page format. However there is a great deal of editing to get the overflow to look correct UNLESS a page at a time is copied and pasted. Either method obviously is time-consuming and arduous. If there were a simple way to ‘make’ 160 (or more if needed) pages blank, all the same page size then the job of copy and pasting would be a breeze.
