Numbering but ignoring some numbers(?)

Hi all.
I’m on libreoffice Writer and I wanted to maker a numbering list starting at 1, but i want to evade some entries, for example:

  1. Blablabla.
  2. Huhehuheu
  3. This is driving me crazy.

Here i want to jump to 4, without using 3, but continuing the numbering.
Any ideas?

Edit: I’ve discovered a workaround which is to:
Insert another entry, then select the entry you want to remove, go to Format->Character->Font effect and click hidden.

But there has to be a more elegnat way right?

No. Automatic numbering is just what it is: it numbers sequentially, automatically. If user wants something that looks like numbering, but actually is not, but some numbers that the user chose based on unknown criteria, there’s nothing LO can offer except writing numbers manually (or using such hacks as you described).

While the cursor is in the third paragraph, choose menu Format - Bullets & Numbering… - Numbering tab, select your preferred number format, in the Customize tab choose 4 for Start at:, OK.

Then select the first two paragraphs, choose menu Format - Bullets & Numbering… - Numbering tab, select your preferred number format, OK (also can use the toolbar button, or press F12).

Tested in LibreOffice 6.3.6.2 (x86); OS: Windows 6.1.
