Calc 6.0.7.3 scroll bars too narrow in Linux Mint 19.1

The horizontal and vertical scroll bars are extremely narrow and very close in color to the rest of the app theme so as to be nearly invisible. How do I change the width of the scroll bars so that my cursor does not inadvertently touch a sheet name and change to a different sheet from the one I am working on? It seems to be a simple thing to be able to adjust the scroll bar widths but I am finding it not to be so. Thank you.

After posting this question, I continued to search for an answer on the web. The answer to my question was found in this discussion thread; https://askubuntu.com/questions/10521… The solution was found in the answer given by Eugen M. Because the version of LibreOffice calc in my original post uses GTK 3.0, Eugen’s solution of worked fine for me. Although I am using Linux Mint 19.1, because it is Ubuntu based, the solution was an appropriate one. However, I consider it a temporary solution and not a permanent fix. A permanent fix, and a much simpler solution, would be to allow users to change the scroll bar widths from within the tools/options settings so that it works for the OS in use.

The link you posted is broken, unfortunately.
