how do I stop e mail notifications

Have turned off everything in tools but still get a pop up in bottom rh corner of screen for every e mail that arrives. The pop ups come when I open e mails and covers all unread e mails. Its very distracting. Thanks

Is that somehow related to LibreOffice, which does not have any mail receiving functionality?
