I have conditional formatting applied so alternate rows are coloured. I want some of the columns only to have text font coloured changed. Even though I block only part of the sheet and add the new rule, the whole spreadsheet is changed. If I try for 1 cell. nothing changes
If an area already has a conditional formatting, you can not put a conditional formatting in between.
You should set a separate condition for each area that should be treated differently.
If you only want to change the font color for certain columns, you should create a separate condition for it. In the dialog box where the condition is set, you can select a (format) template. Possibly. do you need a template in which only the text in a different color is displayed. If such a template does not exist, you have to create one first.
