The MTEXT entity gets lost. I assume the reason is that it is not supported. Is that correct and could support be added? The same is valid for ellipses that also get lost. Ellipses are however easy to replace with other entities.

Looks like we just fixed a DXF bug as of December 19th, so I expect that the DXF format is actively being supported:
I’m not sure if the MTEXT entity is supposed to be supported or not, but please file a bug about this problem. I’m sure that the QA team will be happy to help you figure out if this is a regression or a feature request to be added.
