I created a digital magazine in libre office writer having 2cm margin in every side. There are almost 60 pages including many pictures and all. The page background is blue colour. After all the alignment work when I made it pdf it seems have 4 side white margin 2 cm each. It doesn’t look well...... Is there any option to insert BG colour to margins alone.. if I turn all the margins to zero all my alignment work which I did so far will be vain.

It is partly implemented in version 6.3 as initial change for tdf#112195. You may use daily builds from https://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/ to make your work done - e.g., export to PDF. It's not to perform your daily tasks, of course (unless you want to contribute into QA which is welcome :-)).

Hi

The "old" workaround is to set margins to zero and set page borders to:

  • No border
  • Padding : same values as used for page (eg. 2 cm)

C:\fakepath\border.odt
