Writer - header of second page of a letter

Hi,
I downloaded a letter template file which uses page style A for the first page and page style B for subsequent pages. A second page is only displayed if the first page is full. Page style B contains a footer, but no header (it does have a header, but it’s empty). When I manually add content to the header of page style B (an .svg and some text), the second page stays visible though, even if it’s empty. Once I delete the content of the header, it disappears.

This is annoying because I often have one-page letters and don’t want to select “only first page” in the printer dialoge every time. I’d like the second page with page style B to disappear if empty. How can I achieve this? It works with the footer, but the footer came pre-configured in the template file.

Thank you!

Edit: I just filled style B header with text only, and this works perfectly. So the issue must be the .svg file that keeps the page visible. How can I fix this?

Make sure that you have anchored your SVG to character, to paragraph, or as character (not to page); and that the anchor position (paragraph/character) is in the header.

I’ve anchored to page to better adjust the logo in both headers. That fixed it. Thank you!

Adjustment should be done using position, not anchoring; you may position it relative to page, yes.
