Microsoft Word has a Styles Area, which is an additional levt margin showing the name of the paragraph style for each paragraph. It is one of the few features I miss, though not enough for me to cross back over to the Dark Side.

Is there something similar to that in LO? I don’t mean the Styles sidebar which allows you to select a style and highlights the style of the currently selected paragraph.

Here is what it looks like in Word:

The Properties panel in the side bar shows on top the current paragraph style. That's a drop-down menu from which you can pick any paragraph style in use in the document plus a few commonly used styles.

I don’t think that’s the same thing. I see that Microsoft calls it the Styles Area. I have included an image.

Afaik LibreOffice Writer can't show styles this way. You should start a feature request.
